Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT), affiliated with the University of Toulouse and co-supported by CNRS, Toulouse INP, and other institutions, was founded in 1990. Based in Toulouse, France (address: 118 Route de Narbonne, 31062 Toulouse Cedex 9), it focuses on key research areas like AI (multi-agent planning, explanation), big data, cybersecurity, and their applications in healthcare, smart cities, and aerospace.

Toulouse:
Toulouse is known as the “Pink City”. Most of the buildings in the city are constructed with pink bricks, which glow with enchanting hues like peach, lavender, and caramel gold when bathed in sunlight.
Here stands the Basilica of Saint-Sernin, Europe’s largest rectangular church, as well as the Jacobin Monastery, adorned with a fantastical Gothic style. Renowned as the “Capital of Aerospace in Europe”, Toulouse is home to Airbus’ headquarters and Cité de l’Espace (City of Space), where you can get up close to the allure of aerospace technology.
Toulouse is also a “City of Music” designated by UNESCO. From electronic music in barge bars to classical music at the Théâtre du Capitole (Capitol National Theatre), music lovers will be captivated through and through. Additionally, don’t miss out on its signature delicacies such as cassoulet (a hearty bean stew) and Toulouse sausage.
