Powerful Tools For Caregivers
Caring for a family member or friend with a chronic condition can be physically, emotionally, and financially draining. This highly effective, evidence-based, self-care educational program for family caregivers, builds the skills caregivers need to take better care of themselves as they provide care for others. This free workshop provides caregivers with a wealth of self-care tools to keep them well while they take on what can feel like an overwhelming role as a caregiver. As a Caregiver, you will learn how to:
• Communicate effectively in challenging situations
• Make tough caregiving decisions
• Reduce personal stress
• Manage difficult emotions like guilt and anger
• Utilize community services and resources
This workshop series is 1 ½ hours each week, for six weeks.
